Welcome to Pegham.com, a personal website and app owned and managed by Mr. Tariq Maqsood (Denmark). Pegham operates as a forum and blog where users may register, contribute content, and interact with others.
2. Content on Pegham.com
Our platform features:
- Poetry by the owner and/or Pegham members
- Articles by the owner and/or Pegham members suitable for all ages
- Works by renowned writers and poets of Urdu literature
- Songs, music files, images, photos other material which is general available at Internet
- Other user-friendly and appropriate content
3. Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the information you provide in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
If you use a Gravatar profile picture, an anonymized version (a hash) of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service so your avatar can be displayed. See Gravatar’s privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
4. Media Uploads
If you upload images, please avoid embedding location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location metadata that is present in uploaded images.
5. Cookies
- If you leave a comment you may opt to save your name, email and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last for one year.
- When visiting the login page we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
- Login cookies last for two days; screen options cookies last for one year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
- Publishing or editing a post sets a cookie that stores the post ID and expires after one day; it contains no personal data.
6. Embedded Content from Other Sites
Articles may include embedded content (for example videos, images, or articles). Embedded content behaves the same as if you visited the source website directly. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, or embed additional third‑party tracking.
7. Personal Data We Collect
We collect only the personal information needed to operate Pegham:
- Registered contributors: Email address and optional first and last name (real or fictitious). This data is retained until you request deletion.
- Commenters: Email address and first name (required; fictitious permitted), and optional last name.
8. Who We Share Your Data With
We will not share your email address with third parties without your explicit written permission. If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.
9. How Long We Retain Your Data
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so follow‑up comments can be recognized and approved automatically. Registered users’ profile information is stored in their user profile and can be viewed, edited, or deleted by the user (except for the username). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.
10. Your Rights
If you have an account or have left comments, you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request deletion of your personal data, except for any information we are required to keep for legal, administrative, or security reasons.
11. Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked by automated spam detection services such as Akismet. These services typically receive information including IP address, user agent, referrer, and the content of the comment itself.
12. Children Under 18
Pegham is open to all ages, but we recommend that users under 18 obtain parental permission before using the site or sharing personal information. If we are notified that a minor registered without parental consent, we will remove the account promptly.
13. Akismet Anti-Spam
We use Akismet to help prevent spam. Information collected may include IP address, user agent, referrer, site URL and any information you provide in a comment (name, email, username and the comment itself).
14. Copyright Policy
All content published on Pegham, including poetry, articles, images, and other materials, is protected by copyright laws unless otherwise stated. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from this site without prior written permission from the site owner or the original author. Unauthorized use of content may result in legal action.
User-Submitted Content: By submitting content (such as articles, poems, songs, movies, or images, etc.) to Pegham, you grant the site owner a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform. You retain full ownership and copyright of your original work and may request removal at any time by contacting the site administrator. By submitting content you also confirm that you have the necessary rights to grant this license and that your submission does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Prohibited Content: Do not submit content that you do not own the rights to (unless you have permission), or content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates any law. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules.
15. DMCA Takedown Procedure
If you believe that any content on Pegham.net infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to request its removal. Your notice must include:
- Your full name, address, phone number, and email
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The exact URL or location of the infringing material
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner or the law
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate

Please send DMCA notices to the site administrator at: admin@pegham.net. Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the content in question and notify the user who posted it. That user may file a counter-notice if they believe the content was removed in error or is not infringing. If a valid counter-notice is received, we may restore the content unless you file a court action against the user.
